Undergraduate Diversity Research Grant
Call for Proposals 2009-2010
The Undergraduate Diversity Research Grant (UDRG) is a collaborative effort between the Office of the University Provost, Office for Equity and Inclusion and the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence (CAEE), and is a part of the Diversity Research Initiative. The grant is designed to stimulate, support and recognize outstanding undergraduate research projects related to diversity; and to promote diversity research as a legitimate and valued area of scholarship. Diversity in the context of this grant award includes the exploration of issues related to class, culture, disability, gender, race/ethnicity, language, and sexual orientation.
We invite high quality proposals to explore issues of diversity on a local, national, and/or global level and its educational, economic, and societal impact. We are interested in projects that will have an impact on the Virginia Tech community. Research proposals that examine these issues as a primary or secondary focus will be considered. Projects may be new initiatives or work that is already in progress. However, previous grant recipients will not be refunded for the same project. Up to five grants of $500 will be awarded.
