2007 Day Camps

The Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence at Virginia Tech is pleased to collaborate with Virginia Cooperative Extension initiatives in Surry and Caroline counties for the 2007 Virginia Tech Opportunity Programs (VTOP) Day Camps. VTOP Day Camp is designed to provide guidance, support, and information to youth across the Commonwealth in the pursuit of further education and training after high school. Students moving into grades 9-12 are invited to attend the VTOP Day Camps at absolutely no cost! The camp day begins at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude after lunch at 2:00 p.m. Transportation will be provided. The day will be packed full of information on choosing a major area of study in college, applying for admission, paying for college, and making a successful transition from high school to college. To register, complete the application form and mail it to the address below by June 25 for Surry County camp and July 9 for the Caroline County camp. After these dates you should fax the application to (540) 231-2618, or you may register on-line at the VTOP Camp Registration Page. Students registering on-line must bring a signed copy of the parental permission form to camp to participate.
