Diversity Grants

  • Eligibility

    All undergraduates

  • Description

The grant is designed to stimulate, support and recognize outstanding undergraduate research projects related to diversity; and to promote diversity research as a legitimate and valued area of scholarship.  Diversity in the context of this grant award includes the exploration of issues related to class, culture, disability, gender, race/ethnicity, language, and sexual orientation.

Undergraduate students are invited to submit high quality proposals that explore issues of diversity on a local, national, and/or global level and its educational, economic, and societal impact.  Research proposals that examine these issues as a primary or secondary focus will be considered.  Projects may be new initiatives or work that is already in progress.  Each spring semester up to five grants are awarded of up to $1000.

The UDRG is a collaborative effort between the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence (CAEE), and is part of OMA's Diversity Research Initiative.
