Parent Talk

    All parents visiting campus during Parents & Family Day are invited to attend.

  • Description

    Parent Talk is a luncheon for all parents visiting for Parents & Family Weekend. The program is targeted toward the parents of African American, Hispanic, and American Indian students and is sponsored by the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence (CAEE) and the Dean of Students Office and is designed to give parents an opportunity to discuss their student's experiences with Virginia Tech administrators, faculty, staff and students.

    The program will include a discussion about the current campus climate, student experiences, and how parents can help students to take advantage of Virginia Tech's resources. Parents will be given time to network with other parents, offered the opportunity to ask faculty, staff, and students questions while enjoying lunch.
