  • Description

    This is a 3-credit (A-F) course. Course credit earned in UNIV 1004 cannot be applied toward graduation requirements. The credits earned will be used to determine full-time student status, for financial aid, and for other eligibility issues. The grade you earn will be computed in the semester in which you are enrolled in the class as well as your cumulative GPA.

    The course will cover various topics and skills that are considered relevant to being academically successful at the college level. Included in the course work will be information concerning effective study skills, opportunities to explore such topics as learning styles, choice of major, career options, and goals, and information about campus resources. This course also helps students with time management, how to work with faculty, and how to take care of business academically.

    General Course Restrictions: Restricted to freshmen/transfer students or students having a GPA of 2.5 or less
