VT Majors Fair

  • Eligibility

    All Virginia Tech undergraduates
  • Description

    Celebrating Our Academic Diversity

The VT Majors Fair is held every fall semester prior to course request to provide current Virginia Tech students with an opportunity to meet with faculty and advisors. Students who want to select a major or change majors can learn about prerequisites and major entry requirements so they are able to make a more informed course selection.

The goal of the program is to provide a single location where students have the chance to learn more about various academic majors, minors, or concentrations. (Caution : the VT Majors Fair is not a substitute for meeting with your academic advisor.) Many departments and colleges through out campus will have representatives on hand to talk with students.

The setting is informal so students may walk around to discuss their interests with college and departmental representatives. The one day program is a great opportunity to find answers to questions students have about various programs of study. Because there are so many departments on hand, students are able to compare various programs in one location. Click here for informational flyer.
